Sacramento, CA – COPS sent their endorsement letters for the June Primary to their endorsed candidates today. COPS Executive Director Monty Holden said, “COPS is celebrating over 30 years of service in law enforcement. According to the voters and public opinion, we are the most recognized and respected law enforcement organization in California.”

Holden added, “We work with candidates across the state, regardless of party affiliation, who will place public safety as a top priority as elected officials. In many instances we have had to choose between good friends of COPS who are running for the same office. We have endorsed candidates in the Democrat and Republican primaries. After the primaries we will hold endorsement meetings to choose our General Election candidates.”

COPS represents thousands of police, deputy sheriffs, and other public safety officers throughout California. Our efforts include properly training our front line officers in fighting terrorism, putting criminals behind bars, finding solutions to reduce youth violence, and protecting our families and neighborhoods.
