Sacramento — The California Organization of Police and Sheriffs (COPS) issued a proclamation today honoring May as "Peace Officers Memorial Month". COPS Executive Director Monty Holden announced, "In May, we honor peace officers across this country who have given the ultimate sacrifice for the citizens they are sworn to protect. These brave officers who have died in the line of duty deserve a special remembrance from all of us. They will not be forgotten. COPS offers a special Memorial Tribute at www.ca-cops.com."
